Hello My name is crystal and i will be the instructor for the cma course. I am a LPN have been for almost 4 years . I started out as a cna when i was 16 years old and worked my way up to CMA , ACMA and i am still working towards my RN. I have 3 children and a little farm of animals. I truly believe that nursing is a calling and you have to have a heart and have compassion to be in this field. CMA program admission requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older, must have either high school diploma or GED. Are currently and have been a CNA for 6 months or more with no abuse notations, and be listed in the Oklahoma nurse aide registry, and have experience working as a CNA, Have the physical and mental capability to safely perform job duties of a CMA.
A certified medication aide shall be eligible to perform the duties of a certified medication aide.
What you will learn
As a CMA student, you will learn how to administer medications safely. You will learn the classifications of the medicine and you will learn the appropriate measures to take to ensure safe handling and storing of medications and much more. The CMA class includes 40 hours of classroom learning and 16 hours of clinical hands on learning by passing medications to residents at a LTC (nursing facility). For a total of 56 hours. Upon completion of the course the student will be given a course completion certificate and a training verification form
Tuition is $375.00.
We require a non refundable sign up fee of $100.00.
Balance of $275.00 is due by the end of the course.
State CMA test is NOT included in the tuition. The cost of this test is $43.50
The cost of the tuition including the state test is $318.50
Included in tuition:
Textbook, pocket notebook, folder, highlighter, use of all equipment needed for CMA training, background check and ID badge for clinicals.
The CMA program is 56 hours. After the student has passed the course, they are able to take the state test.
